This award-winning golf course was designed by Cal Olson, an internationally-known architect with courses from Singapore to Canada. The Sonoma Ranch Golf Course is a championship course with rolling hills strewn with bunkers, and is known for its unique bent grass greens. Picacho Hills Golf Course
Picacho Hills Country Club, a Sun Country Amateur Golf Association Club of the Year, is set on the west mesa of Las Cruces. Play golf with panoramic views of the Mesilla Valley. This award-winning country club course has been recognized for strong support of area tournaments, governance of the organization, hosting of association tournaments and seminars, and contributions to junior golf in the community. Picacho Hills’ 18-hole championship course has been host to PGA Tour and United States Open Qualifiers. The established Picacho Hills area offers gated-community living in Butterfield Ridge and Coronado Ridge subdivisions. New Mexico State University Golf Course
New Mexico State University Golf Course is located on the campus of New Mexico State University (NMSU) at the foot of “A” Mountain. This impressive collegiate golf course has played host to NCAA Golf National Championships along with numerous conference and USGA tournament qualifying championships. The NMSU golf course is the home of the university’s PGA Golf Management program, making this facility one of the best in the Southwest. This immaculately kept 18-hole course is also surrounded by spectacular Organ Mountain scenery. Measuring over 7000 yards from the “Aggie Tees,” the golf course provides a challenge to golfers of all skill levels with a wonderful array of holes ranging in difficulty from the very challenging to those that provide good birdie opportunities. The course offers a unique combination of both traditional and desert golf course features with large greens and generous fairways for the average player.
